Doc upped my insulin intake to 80 units of Humulin every 24 hours. This makes my skin burn. Is this normal?

I am taking 40 units of Humulin every 12 hours (total of 80 units per 24 hours, by 2 daily injections). Now and then I take Humalog. Since then my doctor raised my product of insulin to 80 units per day, I get this weird burning sensation all over my body (skin surface). Like the dickens! Hurts, and makes life unbearable sometimes! Makes it difficult to walk because my clothes rub up against my skin and irritates it more. It 's hard to sleep because the covers, again to irritate my skin. To put it in perspective, feels like a sunburn. Is this a normal side effect / reaction to insulin, or is it a type of neuropathy? (Also, when my doctor put me on daily injections of Lantus, I developed the same skin irritation, but was worsened by the cold and severe hot flashes, nervousness, and excessive sweating. Every other symptoms of skin irritation but disappeared after to revert to Humulin, but the burning is driving me crazy!) Council? Help! Thank you.

The same place all the stuff costs bundle so anyways the lantus sucked but fortunately found detemir with humalog had initially been using humalog and sweating had similar problems with humalog had similar problems with humalog and humulin lente is that you want to low demand this if you should be cutting back on your food intake thereby reducing insulin to low demand.
